"Silent Night" is so last Christmas. Instead, celebrate "Unsilent Night," the fourth annual boombox Christmas parade in Baltimore. Participants are invited to bring their own boombox, and CDs and tapes -- and parts of New York composer Phil Kline's "outdoor ambient music piece for an infinite number of boomboxes" will be distributed. On the signal, the gathered crowd will press "play" and follow saxophonist Brian Sacawa through the city. The event is followed by BOOM!, an after-party/concert at Metro Gallery featuring holiday cheer and compositions for boombox and live instruments.
